To prevent fabric edges from raveling, tape or edge stitch the
edges.
Find the center of the fabric by folding lengthwise, then crosswise.
Stitch a single thread of floss at the center point so you know
where to begin stitching. You may begin stitching at any point after
you have counted carefully from the center mark. Some stitchers
prefer using a hoop or frame. Remember to remove the hoop after
stitching each day or it may leave marks on your fabric.
WASHING: After stitching is complete, gently wash the fabric to
remove any dirt, hoop marks or oil from hands. Use gentle cleaning
agents such as baby soap or handwash products that do not contain
chlorine bleach. Do not rub or wring out fabric. Rinse several times
in cool water to remove all soap. Lay on white towel and roll up
to remove excess water. Do not air dry stitched fabric. Cover fabric
with white cloth (towel, diaper) and press until dry.
